Bristol rules. So proud of Bristol and the talent that city has. For Americans who only know London Bristol is to the west.

I always thought growing up that this video was the main influence for The Verve's 'Bittersweet Symphony' video. Anyone else?

The 90s...the last point in our timeline where everything had something real & emotional...the world was not perfect but still there was this little spark of energy that allowed humans to create something important...there was love in it...

A super high quality track that has stood the test of time and still sounds as fresh today as it it it did when I first heard it back in '91.

Sometimes I need to listen to this song to feed my soul.
Love it, love it, such s beautiful composition of music, lyrics, singer, everything is like a scream in silence. And the video wandering in the middle of others, wanting to be alone. I have this feeling so often, wanting to escape. Then I listen to this song. What a gift, thank you!

That's just so beautiful. This song is 25 years old and I'm just 18 but it gives me some nostalgic feelings. My soul says thanks ❤

Out of curiosity, I did a bit of Googling and figured out where this was filmed...

It starts out at about 1349 S. New Hampshire Ave. in Los Angeles, goes to Pico Blvd, turns left, crosses S. Berendo St. and South Catalina St., and the video ends when she turns left/south at 2632 S. Pico Blvd, on to Dewey. It seems pretty obvious they used a lot of extras in this for character, but what a great shot.

this was on the radio the other day at work and a 21 yr old who works with me had never heard it before. I told him who it was and what year it was released and he couldn't believe it.
it still an awesome tune and doesn't sound dated.

I've been to the MA concert on the opening of Dimensions festival in Pula in the summer of 2016. This has always been my favorite song of theirs, and definetly one of my top 10 favorite songs ever. I knew that they rarely play it live, so I really wasn't expecting to hear it that night. They came out only for one encore, and when I heard the first notes of this song I lost it. So excited I actually started crying :D Unforgettable moment! Thank you MA!!

This song helped me through rough times in 1991. I would walk down the the street with my walkman on and this blasting. It freaking blew my mind.....you have to feel this song. It's ironic how 25 years later I'm back listening to it for different reasons...

My favorite version yet. Anyone know her name? Is it Shara Nelson?

In my humble opinion, the most beautiful piece of popular music in the last 30 years. It somehow manages to be cold, warm, mechanic and human at the same time. The brilliance of this song is that it combined the tradition of soul music with what was then an amazingly forward-looking style of music without sounding like a gimmick or a cliché. The beat, the samples, the scratching, the strings, Shara Nelson's voice, that heartbreaking vocal and the production... Everything here is about subtlety, balance and everything fitting together at the right time. And it's truly heartbreaking that Shara Nelson didn't have the career she deserved when you know she co-wrote this masterpiece.

My dad played this all the time when I was a kid! Saturdays were clean up days and my dad just blasted music all day. Lots of Enya, Michael Jackson, Phil Collins, Sade, Jimi Hendrix, Al Green, the list is long and eclectic.

I love the perspective of the person walking down a street towards the camera, but never reaching it. Makes you think, of all those moments that are "metaphorically" behind them, all that is on their path, all that was on their path, all that they touched. I think it is highlighted here, because of the man and child following her.
